International arbitration in the Asia-Pacific region entering golden age

首次在中国大陆举行的2013年亚太区域仲裁组织（APRAG）大会汇聚了来自26个国家和地区的仲裁机构负责人，仲裁和调解领域专家学者，以及法律界、商界精英共同探讨未来10年亚太区域仲裁面临的机遇和挑战，这将有助于加强彼此之间交流与合作，不断完善仲裁法律制度，共同推动亚太地区仲裁事业的蓬勃发展。

On June 28, 2013, Beijing opened its arms to the most influential international arbitration conference in the Asia- Pacific region, the Asia-Pacific Regional Arbitration Group Conference (APRAG) 2013. As the earliest international arbitration commission established in China, China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) is honored to be selected by APRAG as the organizer of this event. Representatives from arbitration institutions, arbitrators, lawyers and friends from around the world joined Beijing in exploring the opportunities and challenges of international arbitration in the Asia-Pacific Region in the next decade. It is of far-reaching and profound significance that the 2013 APRAG Conference is held in Beijing. Themed as 'International Arbitration in Asia-Pacific Region in the Next Ten Years-Opportunities and Challenges', this conference gathers the wisdom and enthusiasm of the elites in international arbitration sphere, fully presents the experiences and achievements of arbitration in different countries and regions in this part of the world, and looks into the future of international arbitration in the Region in the next decade. It is a grand gathering for arbitration experts from China and other countries in the Asian-Pacific Region and even other parts of the world, and it also provides an opportunity for all the participants to exchange ideas and conduct cooperation in the f ield of international arbitration.
