摘要
运用功能语言学的理论,从人际功能的实现手段——语气、主语、时态、情态及人称五个方面,对2010上海世博会官方网站上参观人数最多的15个国家展览馆英文宣传介绍资料进行语篇分析,得出严肃事件背景下宣传题材的语言学特点:文章多使用陈述语气、时态中以现在时和将来时为主、第三人称是作者指称中使用的主体;很少使用情态动词。这些特点符合世博会这样一个严肃庄重的世界盛会背景下通过网络传递信息,最大限度地吸引游客的情景语境。
The English brochure of 15 popular Internet venues of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo were analyzed based on the interpersonal function of functional grammar—mood,subject,tense,modality and person.Texts of such publicity theme of serious events mainly use indicative mood,the present or future tense,and third person.Modal verbs,however,are seldom used.These linguistic characteristics are compatible with the solemn situation of the World Expo that can maximally attract visitors through the Internet.
