动态公示语汉英翻译原则的顺应研究

On C - E Translation Principles of Dynamic Public Signs from the Perspective of Adaptation Theory

公示语根据其所展示的信息状态具有静态和动态之分。动态公示语包括提示性公示语、限制性公示语和强制性公示语。维索尔伦提出的语言顺应理论三个核心概念为语言的变异性、商讨性与顺应性,四个分析维度为语境关系顺应、语言结构顺应、动态顺应和顺应过程的意识突显性。以维索尔伦顺应理论为指导,以动态公示语为语料,两者结合探索动态公示语汉英翻译中非语言层次上的翻译,相应的翻译原则主要包含物理原则、心理原则、文化原则、面子原则与突显原则。

Public signs are categorized as static and dynamic public signs according to their different func-tions. Dynamic public signs include prompting public signs, restrictive public signs and compelling public signs. The Adaptation Theory put forward by Verschueren consists of three core concepts （ Variability, Negotiability and Adaptability） and four analysis dimensions （Contextual correlates of adaptability, Structural objects of adaptabil-ity, Dynamics of adaptability and Salience of adaptation processes）. This paper takes dynamic public signs as the corpus. Under the guide of Adaptation Theory, extra - linguistic adaptation in dynamic public signs transla-tion is explored and corresponding translation principles are proposed, i.e. physical principle, mental principle, culture principle, face principle and salience principle.
