The rehabilitation of Shuaiba Oil Pier in Kuwait was both designed and supervised by Rendel Palmer & Titton(RPT)which is one of the well known consultant engineers in Great Britain. The paper describes the technical problems which the project management of CHEC-Third Navigational Eng.Bureau encountered during the selection of raw material for concrete and the design of the mix ratio, and negotiations carried out with the consultant engineer.
