认为本病多由饮食不节、情志失调、恣情纵欲所致,提出了"肾虚是根、阴虚为本、血瘀为标"的病机观。中医治疗有三方面优势:病证结合、整体辨治,有助于改善全身证候,提高生活质量;局部辨症、审因论治,有助于消除局部病灶,改善临床症状;安全有效、缓缓图治,有助于巩固远期疗效。临床治疗有三要素:辨病审因,积极治疗原发病;病证结合,首辨脏腑和虚实;分期论治,辨证治疗出血灶。

It is believed that diabetic retinopathy is resulted from diet disorder, poor emotion and Indulging in cannel pleasure without restraint, so the key of pathogenesis may be kidney and yin dificiency and characteristic of disease should be blood stasis. There are three advantages using Chinese medicine to treat the disease. First, the overall dialectical and combination of disease and syndrome will improve the general syndromes and the quality of life. Second, seeking the origin and observing topical syndrome differentiation will eliminate local lesions. Third, using Chinese medicine is safe and gradual,which will help to consolidate the long-term effect.We also conclude that clinical diagnosis has three key factors： seeking for the etiology and treating it; combining disease with syndromes and first distinguishing the zang-fu organs and the actual situation;dividing the treatment into different stages and providing differential treatment.
