Conception of a New Rapid Prototyping Method Based on SLS

Principles and characteristics of Selective Laser Sintering （SLS） are inroduced. Based on SLS, a conception of a new Rapid Prototyping method is proposed, namely Dense Resistance Sintering. Principles, materials and system components of Dense Resistance Sintering are introduced. The advantages and disadvantages of Dense Resistance Sintering are summarized based on the analysis of the system components and the principles. The development trends of Dense Resistance Sintering are proposed.
