2-Amino-3-chlorine-5-nitrobenzonitrile was synthesized from 2-amino-5-nitrobenzonitrile by direct chlorination. The effects of catalysts, reaction temperature, reaction time, solvent recycling on regioselectivity and yield of the reaction were studied.
