摘要
老舍和赵树理小说之所以深受读者喜欢,与其对"戏剧性"元素的创造性借用大有关系。他们在小说情节经营上的戏剧性追求,一方面表现为适时设置假定性情境,激化新的矛盾冲突,使情节环环相扣、曲折多变;同时又注重渲染故事的传奇性,通过设计奇巧的情节或安插突转,以增强读者的阅读趣味和感官冲击。在叙述话语上企慕"出口就响"的口语化、动作性,造就了其小说作品浅近通俗又生动活泼的戏剧性特点。老舍和赵树理还借鉴了传统戏曲的人物"亮相"元素,在主要人物出场时对其进行有选择的形象"拼贴",成为其作品人物形象和性格达成生动鲜明的重要手段。
Lao She and Zhao Shuli' s novels are popular with readers, owing to the element of "dramatization" employed to a large degree. Their novels create settings, conflicts, inter- woven plots and unexpected tales so as to leave a deep impression on readers. In narra- tion, colloquialism is emphasized, and characters are typified through selection and com- bination. In this way, most protagonists and antagonists concerned are striking.
