Guangxi Undergraduates' Volunteer Service Activities in Helping the Disabled: Present Situation and Measures for Solving Problems

广西大学生助残志愿服务活动的开展总体上是有序、有效和可持续的,但也存在问题。部分大学生对助残志愿服务活动缺乏了解,参加志愿意服务呈短期性、参加的途径和场所较为集中、涉及范围较小,参加助残志愿服务活动动机盲目和具有功利性。可以通过拓宽大学生了解和参加助残志愿服务活动的渠道和加强高校与残联机构、社区、企事业单位等之间的联动,完善各项制度,加强管理,推动助残志愿服务活动规范化和科学发展。

Guangxi undergraduates＇ volunteer service activities in helping the disabled are carried out orderly, effectively and sustainably as a whole, but there are some problems： some students lack understanding of volunteer service activities in helping the disabled; they participate in short-term volunteer services with relatively concentrated approaches and sites as well as limited range; their motivation of participation is blind and utilitarian. It is essential to improve the systems and enhance the management so as to promote the standardization and scientific development of this program through the following ways： broadening the channels for students to understand and participate in these activities, while strengthening the linkage among the universities and the organizations of the Federation for the Disabled, communities as well as enterprises and institutions, etc.
