“X-gate”到“X-门”汉化及比较研究

On Chinesization from "X-gate" to"X-men"and Their Comparison

汉语中的"X-门"来源于英语的"X-gate"。从形态、语义、组合能力、造句功能以及"-gate"和"-门"的角色角度对"X-gate"和"X-门"进行了深入的对比分析,得出二者之间的共性是:①"X-gate"和"X-门"中"X"的构成都可以是名词成分且数量很多,同时还都可以是动词;②在语义上均用来表示消极意义;③组合能力相同,造句功能相似。二者之间的差异是:①"X-门"中的"X"可以是形容词,但"X-gate"中却不能。②汉语"-门"比英语"-gate"使用范围更广;③"-gate"已成为真正的构词后缀,而"-门"只是类词缀。

Chinese ＂X-men＂ stems from English ＂X-gate＂. In this paper, a contrastive study has been made on ＂X-gate＂ and ＂X-men＂ from aspects of morphology, semantics, the combination ability, the function of making sentences as well as the role of ＂-gate＂ and ＂-men＂. As a result, some similarities and differences are found between them. There are three aspects in their similarities. Firstly, ＂X＂ in ＂X-gate＂ and ＂X-men＂ can both be nouns and verbs： Secondly, they both show negative meaning： thirdly, it is similar for them in combination and sentence-making. Meanwhile, there are also three aspects in their differences. At the beginning, ＂X＂ in ＂X-men＂ can be adjective but not in ＂X-gate＂： Following it, the usage for ＂-men＂ is wider than ＂-gate＂ in their own languages： at last, ＂-gate＂ has become a suffix in English, while ＂-men＂ is only a quasi-affix in Chinese.
