汉代董仲舒所倡导的"三纲五常"是封建伦理精神的核心内容,对国民的精神统治有近2000年的历史,所以,它对人们性格的影响是深入灵魂的。但是,现实社会中"三纲五常"的起点并不是董仲舒的理论诞生之时。通过对相关汉字偏旁部首的解读可以确定一个事实:在远古时代,君臣、父子、夫妻关系就是不平等的,而且这种不平等现象不是偶然的,而是由当时的生产力水平、生产方式决定的。

The three cardinal guides and the five constant virtues, advocated by Zhongshu Dong in Han dynasty, are the core contents of the feudal ethicnl spirit. As it had dominated the national spirit for two thousand years, its influences to people＇s characters were deep into the soul. However, in the practical so- ciety, the princiPle of the feudal moral conduct was not initiated by Zhongshu Dong in his theory. Based on the research of relevant Chinese characters radical, a fact could be confirmed： in ancient times, the rela- tionship between emperor and minister, father and son, husband and wife was not equal, and the inequali- ty was not accidental, but determined by the former productivity level and the mode of production.
