The Combination of the Form and the Integration of the Inner Nature

诗歌对小说文体和艺术的重大影响,是中国文学史上的一个突出现象。这种影响产生的文化背景,一是诗歌的普及和对社会生活及文化的重大影响;二是古代说唱艺术的繁荣成为通俗小说的艺术渊源。散韵结合的叙事方式,逐渐成为一种程式化的僵化模式;而在发展中又不断被突破而产生多样化的倾向。诗歌对小说影响的高级形态,是诗与小说文体的内质融合,即诗性小说的产生。

The great impact of poems upon the style and art of novels has been a prominent phenomenon in the history of Chinese literature. The cultural background of this impact has two aspects： one is the popularity of poetry and its significant influence on social life and culture, while the other is the prosperity of the art of talking and singing as the artistic origin of popular novels. The narrative form with a combination of prose and verse became more and more schematized, and in the process of its development, it was broken through and tending to be diversified. The advanced form of the impact made by poems upon of novels is the integration of the inner nature of the style of poems and novels, which is the generation of poetic novels. In this article, the author analyzes the generative conditions and characteristics of poetic novels, and also briefly analyzes some masterpieces of poetic novels.
