This areicle points out that the main pollutants in the lubricating oil are solid particles, water and gas and analyses the harmful effect. The author introduces two standard to evaluate the pollutand in the oil:NAS- 1638 = ZSO -,D2S 4406 and several other testing mothed. Through analysis, the author points at that the pollutant control in the oil comes in all phases if the production, operation and main- tenance. The author also gives suggestion to control the pollutant if the lubricating oli.
