摘要
螺杆钻具转子螺旋曲面的旋风式数控铣削技术核心是刀具轨迹沿工件的圆周方向走刀 ,依次铣削每个截面 ;旋风式铣刀切削刃的切削进给方向与铣刀刀杆的方向基本相同 ;铣刀切削刃沿转子径向切入工件 ;铣刀盘的回转方向与理论曲面的最大曲率半径方向基本一致。实际应用表明 ,这种铣削技术不仅表面成形精度高 ,而且铣刀切削刃在工件表面上的扫描面积大 ,在相同表面粗糙度要求的条件下 ,可减少刀具切削行程数的 1 8%~ 2 7%,缩短加工时间 2 0 %~ 2 2 %。这项铣削技术也适用于各种复杂轴类形体以及三维自由曲面的加工。
A whirlwind milling technique for machnining the spiral curved surfaces of PDM’s rotors is presented. The step forward direction of cutting tool accords with the circumference of workpiece to be milled, so the cross section of workpiece is machined along its axial line in turn. And the cutting lip of whirlwind milling cutter feeds into this owrkpiece toward slightly the identical direction of cutter arbor, then the cutting edge radially cuts in the surface of workpiece. In addition, the cutter head of whirlwind milling cutter rotates in teh same direction as the maximum principal curvature radius of the theoretical surfaces. Therefore, this new machining method can not only realize high surface forming accuracy, but also maximize the material removal of the point of cintact and raise the labor productivity. Moreover, whirlwind milling cutter has very narrow cutter width and sharp tooth tip so as to avoid gouging and tool interference.
