服务动机体现了党的根本宗旨,是建设服务型政党的根本要求和贯彻群众路线的根本要求。因此,应加强对公务员的服务动机考核。考核公务员工作应注重对公民的服务,将民众视为客户,这个理念急需在我国的公务员考核体系中有所体现。考核工作注重将指标细化为具体行政行为,可以帮助纠正目前我国考核中重定性忽视具体标准的偏颇。考核工作注重分层分级,对不同的工作岗位提出不同的工作要求。
