Medieval university facuhy' s social roles were reflected in the social personality, social status, social expecta- tions and social services. The social personality of faculty was intellectual ; They had very high religious, political and economic status. The high social status can be practiced out according to the social expectations in corresponding of social services instead of self-giving. In the late Medieval Age, the faculty' s social role changed subversively. Through the contrast of this period of history, we can see that the faculty should have the nature of pursuit of the truth, the good and the beautiful.
