公示语反译及其生态翻译学理据

Reverse Translation of Public Signs and Their Motivations from Eco-translatology

英汉语同样都有从正、反两个视角来表述同一概念的语言现象。汉语里一些习以为常的公示语,英译时从反面来传递其语言文化信息,往往更能传情达意;反之亦然。生态翻译学及其"三维"原则赋予公示语反译以理据。语言维的公示语反译,旨在以目的语为依归对语言形式进行适应性选择转换,以力求语义信息的双向动态对等。文化维的公示语反译,则更加关注双语文化内涵的阐释并践行"以我为准"的翻译原则。交际维上的公示语反译,格外关注双语交际意图的适应性选择转换,以提升"整合适应选择度"并忠实再现源语的功能意义。

Both Chinese and English share the same linguistic phenomenon that the same idea can be described from the reverse point of view.Through reverse translation,some public signs from both Chinese and English express themselves fully and properly.Through adaptive transformation from linguistic dimension,public signs and their reverse translation lay emphasis on target-centeredness.While source language and culture are singled out through adaptive transformation from cultural dimension.In order to improve the degree of holistic adaptation and selection,we translate public signs reversely mainly through adaptive transformation from cultural dimension.With all the efforts as listed above we intend to faithfully convey the semantic and functional and underlying meanings of public signs.
