随着移动通信技术与互联网的发展,公共图书馆的社会功能与地位受到了很大的影响。"第三空间"视角的出现,为解决当前公共图书馆面临的尴尬处境提供了有效的解决思路。文章对"第三空间"的概念和特点进行探讨,分析了公共图书馆作为"第三空间"的必要性及功能,最后对构建作为"第三空间"的公共图书馆提出了一些建议。

As the development of the Internet and mobile communication technology, public libraries＇ social function and status have been greatly affected. The perspective of ＂third space＂ provides an effective solution to the current predicament faced by public libraries. This paper discusses the concept and characteristics of ＂third space＂, and then analyzes the necessity and function of public library as the ＂third space＂, and finally offers some suggestions on the construction of public libraries as the ＂third space＂.
