以社会符号学翻译法为理论依据,侧重从指称意义、言内意义和语用意义三大层面研究少数民族典籍翻译,并提出相应的翻译策略,以期为典籍翻译提供参考。

In the socio -semiotic model, translation is approached as a cross -cultural, cross - social, and cross - linguistic communicative activity. Based on Chen Hongwei＇ s translation method related to the socio - semiotic approach to translation, the process of translation is per- ceived as a way to attain the criterion of correspondence in meaning and similarity in function be- tween the source text and a target text. The paper is intended to deal with the English translation of Chinese minority classics from the perspectives of designative meaning, connotative meaning and pragmatic meaning respectively in Order to provide some practical strategies for the transla- tion of Chinese minority classics.
