On “Reaching the Acme of Perfection”

对钱钟书先生"化境"说的理论基础和内涵进行了研究。围绕钱氏在《林纾的翻译》一文中提出的三个核心概念——"化""诱""讹",集中阐述了"化"的内涵及求"化"的途径。

Based on the studies about the theoretical foundation and connotation of ＂Reaching the Acme of Perfection＂ theory, the paper illustrates the connotation of ＂sublimation＂ and the way of approaching ＂sublimation＂ by the use of three key concepts, namely, ＂sublimation＂, ＂enticement＂ and ＂misinformation＂ which are put forward by Mr. Qian Zhongshu in his article ＂Lin Shu＇ s Translation＂.
