中西方之间的文化差异是影响交流的重要因素,这种文化差异很大程度上取决于心理因素差异,而翻译活动可以看作是两种语言的转换问题,因此,了解不同文化的差异是很有必要的。本文通过对中西方文化心理差异的形成以及对比分析总结出了一些常见的文化现象,了解这些现象对英语翻译工作会有很大的帮助。

The differences between Chinese and western cultural are important factors that affect communication, and the cultural differences largely depend on the psychological factors. Translation activity can be regarded as a mat- ter of language transformation between two kinds of language transformation, so it is necessary to understand the dif- ferences between cultures. This article summarizes some common cultural phenomenon through analysis of the forma- tion of the psychological differences between Chinese and western culture which are of great help to understand the phenomenon of English translation work.
