With Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 being entered into force, ILO will emphasize its work on encouraging more States to ratify Seafarers＇ Identity Documents Convention （Revised）, 2003. This paper introduces the relationship between Seafarers＇ Identity Documents Convention （Revised）, 2003 and other instruments and analyses the possible development of this convention in the future.
