Harmonious Value Construction in the Perspective of Modernity Critique

作为现代性主导理念的人类中心主义与工具理性主义,已经成为现代人生存与发展的悖论。人类中心主义把人当作一切价值的尺度,催生了功利主义与个人主义信念,过度偏重人的利益和欲求,忽视人与生态环境的和谐关系,使现代化成了主体征服自然、人类宰制世界的强制过程,导致了"人道主义的僭妄"。工具理性主义对人性的片面设定,导致了人性的单一化与功利化,造成人的价值理性的遮蔽与生活意义的失落。这就需要对现代性主导理念的人类中心主义与工具理性主义展开深入批判,以确立起与生态文明时代相适应的和谐价值观。

As prominent concepts of modernity, anthropocentrism and instrumental rationalism have be- come paradox for life and development of modern people. Anthropocentrism takes human being as the measure of value, creating utilitarianism and individualism. Because human desires are overweighted, harmony be- tween men and environment is destroyed and modernity becomes the process in which human beings conquer the nature and rein the world, and at last anthropocentrism develops into humanitarian transgression. The very one - sided defining on humanity of instrumental rationalism leads to one - sidedness of humanity and utilitari- anism, causing screen to value rationality and loss of life significance. In such case, it＇s necessary to criticize anthropocentrism and instrumental rationalism as prominent concepts of modernity in order to set up harmoni- ous value in conformation with ecological civilization.
