The Mid-autumn Moon-traveling Poems of the Tang Dynasty and Taoism

唐代的中秋玩月诗与道教信仰有着密切关系。其写作时间多在开元天宝后,正缘于唐玄宗时期道教的兴盛。而《叶净能诗》中的玄宗游月宫传说,可视为唐代中秋玩月诗流行的故事背景。其诗境与道教神仙传说相融合,多趋清冷,而不同于后世中秋赏月的团圆氛围。道教中的许逊信仰,更为八月十五玩月的娱乐化提供了研究线索。

The Mid-autumn Moon-traveling Poems of the Tang Dynasty and Taoism were closely related to Taoism.Most of these poems were written after the Kaiyuantianbao Period when Taoism was proposed by Emperor Xuanzong.The legend of Emperor Xuanzong's traveling in the moon in Yejingneng Poetry is characteristic of such poems and has the similar poetic elements as the legends in the Taoist immortals which are different from the contents of family reunion in later poems on the same theme.The Xuxun belief in Taoism reveals some entertainment elements for the Mid-autumn Moon Festival.
