文化缺省的存在给译者带来诸多困难,译者在处理该问题时常会用到归化和异化两种翻译补偿策略。鲁迅先生《阿Q正传》中的文化缺省现象屡见不鲜。在杨宪益夫妇的英译本中,运用多种翻译补偿策略为译者提供良好范例。

Abstract Faced with the difficulties brought by cultural default, translator usually takes the strategy of either foreignizing or do- mesticating the works. In the English version of ＂The True Story of Ah Q＂, Yang Xianyi couple takes advantage of many transla- tion compensation strategies,, which provides a good example for the translator.
