Rhetorical criticism has drawn much attention from academia and played a vital role in the construction of social relations in the west.One of the striking features of contemporary rhetorical criticism is its diversity in the approaches,which is in close relation to marginality,interdisciplinarity,universality,and ambiguity of the discipline.Researches in the approaches to rhetorical criticism have lagged far behind,owing to the humanistic and artistic nature of rhetorical criticism,scholar background differences,vagueness between theory and methods,and complexity in mass communication.
