Based on the discussion of the promotion of teaching reform in secondary schools through professional skills competition and taking the skill competition of flower arrangement for example, this paper explores how ＂to combine competition with teaching and to promote teaching through competition＂, optimizes the teaching reform of the Art of Flower Arrangement by using the competition, thus improving the students＂ professional skills level and their competitive power for employment.
