摘要
莱考夫-约翰逊的概念隐喻理论自问世以来引发了学术界的批评质疑与讨论。讨论围绕"哲学新纪元"、"循环论证"、研究方法以及理论解释力等问题展开。尽管该理论的哲学贡献及"隐喻概念建构人类行为"的观点仍备受争议, 但是关于其研究方法和理论解释力的讨论则推动了理论的发展和完善。
Ever since it was proposed by Lakoff and Johnson, the conceptual metaphor theory （ CMT ） has aroused intense debate, which primarily concerns its theoretical status as ＂a new era in philosophy＂, the criticism of its circular argumentation, and the inquiry about its methodology and explanatory value. Despite the controversy over the philosophical significance of the CMT and its claim of ＂behavior （ partially ） structured by metaphorical concept＂, the discussions about its methodology and explanatory value have contributed to the development of the theory itself.
