梳理伊德的科学技术文化观,将有利于目前国内日渐兴起的科学技术文化哲学研究。在伊德看来,科学、技术都是扎根文化的产物,文化具有"土壤"的根本性。对于现代科学技术的诞生,文艺复兴前的技术性文化背景是重要条件之一,以往文化中的视觉主义偏好是重要条件之二,而西方扩张性的文化气质是重要的条件之三。随着科学与技术的发展,它们势必又将汇入文化的洪流,相互影响,形成多元互渗的文化发展模式。考古学证明,现代科学、技术的诞生正是人类历史长河中多元文化相互影响的产物,科学与技术发展的欧洲中心论其实只是欧洲人一厢情愿的幻想,任何迷恋欧洲中心论的想法和做法都将是狭隘、短视和固步自封的。

Don Ihde is a prominent phenomenologist of contemporary American philosopher, his philosophy of science and technology have lead to wide influence around the world. Combing his view of science, technology and culture, will be conducive to the current domestic emerging research on philosophy of science, technology and culture. In Ihde＇s view, science and technology is the product deeply rooted in culture, which shows a fundamental quality of its ＂soil. ＂ For the birth of modern science and technology, the techni- cal cultural background before the Renaissance is one of the important conditions. Visual preference of previous culture is another im- portant condition, while the western aggressive cultural temperament is third important condition. With the development of science and technology, they will flood into culture certainly, influencing each other, and form a multidimensional model with various mutu- ally permeating factors. Archaeology proved that the birth of modern science and technology is the product of muhicultural interaction in human history, and the Eurocentric development of science and technology is really just wishful illusion. Any ideas and practices infatuating Eurocentre are narrow and shortsighted and stuffy.
