To summarizes the method and training status of neonatal pain management at present. Pain management methods include analgesic method without drug such as oral sucrose water, non nutritional sucking, infant package and kangaroo care, etc, analgesia such as rui fentanyl and propofol used in pediatric end0tracheal intubation and others. Training status include lack of authoritative teaching book about a newborn pain management knowledge, lack of specificity questionnaire, and lack of professional teachers and training institutions. We consider that health care workers should adhere to the epis- temology of science, grasp the requirements of medical ethics and reflect humanistic care of newborn during the care of the newborn.
