摘要
谦卑领导行为是领导研究领域最新关注的问题,但对其有效性仍缺少严格的实证研究。本文在阐明谦卑领导行为内涵和作用机制的基础上,采用多层线性模型检验谦卑领导行为对领导有效性和员工的组织认同的影响,有效样本包括中国45家企业的153个团队、643名员工。数据分析结果表明:在控制家长式领导的作用后,谦卑领导行为对领导有效性和员工的组织认同都有显著的正向影响。本研究对谦卑领导的有效性提供了证据,对改进领导者的领导行为具有现实指导意义。
Leader humility is one of the latest topics in the field of leadership research, but its effectiveness still lacks rigorous empirical study. In this article, we clarified the connotation and functional mechanism of leader humility and tested its effects on leadership effectiveness and employees" organizational identification using multilevel models with a dataset composed of 45 companies, 153 teams and 643 employees in China. Statistical analyses show that leader humility is positively associated with leadership effectiveness and employees'organizational identification with the effect of pater- nalistic leadership has been controlled for. This study provides evidence of the effectiveness of leader humility and will offer leaders with practical directions for the improvement of their leadership behaviors.
