Today, it has become the largest integrated scientific research and development institution on rare earths in China. On July 18t＂, celebration ceremony for the 50t＂ Anniversary of BRIRE was held in its newly built pilot production base. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. JU Jianyong, vice president and party secretary of the Institute. Mr. JIA Yinsong, inspector of Raw Materials Department and director of Rare Earth Office of MIIT, Mr. GAN Yong, academician, vice president of Chinese Academy of Engineering; director-general of the Chinese Society of Rare Earths and Chairman of the Chinese Association of Rare Earths, Mr. WAN Lijun, academician, researcher of the Research Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Mr. YAN Chunhua, academician, director of the State Key Laboratory of Rare Earth Materials Chemistry and Applications of Peking University, Mr. XU Huibin, executive vice president of Beijing University of Aeronautics ＆ Astronautics, Mr. REN Fu, vice mayor of the People＇ s Government of Baotou Municipality and other representatives from related government departments, universities, research institutes and enterprises joined the celebration.
