Metamorphosis tells an absurd story that the hero Gregor becomes an insect one morning. Through the description of Gregor' s dissimilation, the story displays man's existing predicament and shows that human nature has been distorted by the modern society. In this way, Kafka wants to express his worry and dissatisfaction for rationalism in western neoteric and modern society, convey his crisis awareness and tragic sense rooted in the western society, and highlight his denunciation to the absurd world.
