方志在佛学研究中的文献功能与作用——以《番禺县志》为例

方志是地方史书,内容非常丰富。在方志中包含着大量有用的佛教资料,如寺院的建设与沿革演变、佛教人物、与佛教有关的风物人情和名胜古迹等都可以被方志所记载。以乾隆朝《番禺县志》为例,具体展示了佛教研究中方志资料的重要性。

The local annals is a local historical record with very rich contents including a lot of useful data of Buddhism such as the construction and evolution of the temples, Buddhist figures, and customs and scenic spots and historical sites related to Buddhism, etc. Taking Panyu County Annals published in the Qianlong Reign as an example, this paper concretely shows the importance of the materials of local annals in Buddhist studies.
