This paper expounds the mission of the library and the present situation of university library,and emphatically probes into the library consciousness that the leadership in colleges and universities should have,which including to understand the importance of library for students’future development,to establish the knowledge collection concept,efficiency concept,active service concept,librarians’professional consciousness,computer management consciousness and the consciousness of cultivating students’library consciousness.
