The cultural security strategy is an important component of the national strategy of the United States. After the end of the cold war, the United States, by virtue of its economic and military dominance in the world, carries out its global cultural expan- sion strategy, which takes the ideological expansion as the core, global Americanization as the ultimate goal, cultural products out- put as the major method, and science and technology and talent as its support. The review of the historical origin and basic contents of the formation of the United States cuhural strategy will help to grasp objectively the essence of culture security strategy of the U. S. and it will also provide implications for the formulation and implementation of China＇s cultural security strategy.
