The Contemporary Significance of Hu Shi's “Young Chinese Spirit”——From the Perspective of Ideological and Political Education in Colleges and Universities

党的十八大报告对青年工作作出的指示和习近平主席对"中国梦"的阐释,提示新形势下高校思政工作者应注重对大学生进行意识层面的引导,加强大学生理想信念教育。新形势下研究胡适"少年中国之精神"的内涵,挖掘其在新时期的意义,有助于时代精神在大学生群体中的塑造。

Instructions on youth work from the 18th National Congress Report of Communist Party of China and President Xi Jinping＇s expression of ＂Chinese Dream＂ suggest that, under the new situation, teachers presiding over the ideological and politi-cal education in colleges and universities should pay more attention to the mentality level among university students and to strengthening their ideal and belief education. Studying on the connotation of Hu Shi＇s ＂Young Chinese Spirit＂ under the new sit- uation and exploring its significance in the new period will help to build the spirit of the age in university students.
