云南边民通婚引发的社会问题及其应对

Social Problems Cause by Intermarriage in the Border Area of Yunnan and the Proposed Solutions

云南地处西南边陲与缅甸、老挝、越南接壤,这三国边民通婚历史悠久。尤其是近年来,随着云南经济快速发展、民族和睦团结,边疆社会稳定,大量境外的缅甸、越南、老挝三国边民入境云南边境通婚,并且通婚人数逐年增多,有不断上升的趋势,这些边民的通婚,给云南的经济建设、民族团结、宗教和谐、边境安宁等工作带来了诸多的社会问题值得我们认真研究。

Yunnan, situated in southwest China, borders on Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam and the intermarriage among the bor-derland inhabitants has a long history. Because of the rapid economic development over the recent years, Yunnan enjoys a stable and harmonious social environment of ethnic peoples. Under such circumstances, many immigrants from Myanmar, Laos and Vi-etnam come to Yunnan and get married to the local people. Such a trend is on the rise. The intermarriage plays a positive role in the economic construction, ethnic solidarity, religious harmony and border security of Yunnan but it also brings about some social problems. It is thus important to conduct researches on such problems.
