Patron-driven acquisition（PDA） has been widely applied in the collection development of academic libraries in the US, and has become an important model for collection development. This paper introduces its basic workflow and its advantages. Based on that, detailed description the functional configuration and implementation technique of the collection development system of academic libraries based on PDA model.
