With the large-scale development of the western China,there are new opportunities for the development of city and countryside.The social responsibility of architects determines that the main purpose of architectural design is to serve the social development and people＇s daily life.Architects in their practices should respect the current context of the city,look into the city＇ s future development,and make in-depth exploration of the city＇ s cultural meaning.This article with the case of Chongqing Guotai Art Center,discusses some experiences and reflections of the architectural design in western China.
