新中国成立初期,对于服装之美,经历了从"制服"为美到"花衣服"的过程。尽管对于服装之美,不同阶段人们的认识有所不同,追求的时尚也有区别,但是,对于新中国的妇女而言,她们并没有忽视美,而是在不断地认识和寻求美。新中国妇女服装变迁的背后,是国家在思想意识领域或隐没或彰显的引导。与此同时,国家经济发展的现实状况也影响和制约着新中国妇女的服装变迁。新中国妇女服装变迁的过程,凸显了妇女与国家命运的关联。

In the early period of the People＇s Republic of China, women＇s aesthetic of their dresses changed from preference for wearing uniforms to florid dresses. After the founding of the People＇s Re- public of China, women did not ignore the beauty of clothes. They were instead in constant pursuit of that beauty. Behind the vicissitude in women＇s clothing is the ideological guidance of the state, implic- it or not. In addition, the national economic reality is also an important influencing factor. The vicis- situde in women＇s clothing in the early period of the People＇s Republic of China embodies the associa- tion of women with the fate of their country.
