Freshman transition education can help students adapt themselves to university study and life successfully,and lay the foundation for later academic success. American Universities pay great attention to freshman transition education whose forms are diversified. There are Freshman Preparation Projects such as the Understanding of School-Readiness,Summer Courses and Uni-Start,and Freshman Extracurricular Projects such as Freshmen Summer-Camp,Dormitory Meeting and Peer Guidance.And the most important of all is the Project in Class such as First-year Seminar, Learning Community, and 4th Credit Hour Program.
