论文从平民/社会、情感/婚姻、现实/历史、价值/理想四个主要方面,概括性地描述和分析了2012年度中国中篇小说的创作状况。既总结了重要作品的贡献,也指出了其他作品存在的缺陷和不足。总的来看,它的整体艺术成就,基本与此前年份持平。而一些有潜在实力的作家的表现,要好于知名作家。

This paper briefly describes and analyzes the status of Chinese novellas in 2012 in four aspects like the populace and society,emotions and marriage,reality and history,and values and ideals,thus not only summarizing the contributions of those important works but also indicating some defects of other works.On the whole,the artistic achievement of novellas in 2012 is at the same level with that of the previous year;but some writers with potential capability have performed better than some well-known writers.
