摘要
本研究尝试采用定量研究和定性研究相结合的方法研究不同语言水平的中国学习者口语流利性和准确性之间相关性及其纵向变化规律。基于SECOPETS并参照LOCNEC语料库,对错误和时间流利性变量进行定量分析,定性分析SECOPETS语料库中学习者流利性的问题方面和容易出错的词汇语法类别。定量分析显示准确性和流利性之间不存在显著相关。不同水平之间的学习者就流利性和准确性的纵向发展而言呈波浪形模式。本研究对发现中国学习者口语产出中流利性和准确性之间关系及其在不同水平的学习者之间纵向变化的规律以及对英语口语教学和口语测试评价具有启示作用。
This paper presents a combined approach of quantitative and qualitative analysis towards the description of a potential corre- lation between accuracy and fluency and varying patterns between different proficiency levels with respect to errors and temporal variables of fluency in learners' spoken language. Based upon SECOPETS corpus, with reference to the native control corpus LOCNEC, this paper first analyses errors and temporal variables of fluency quantitatively, then it detects lexical and grammatical categories which are especially error-prone as well as problematic aspects of fluency for all learners in the SECOPETS corpus. Qualitative analysis suggests no significant correlations between accuracy and fluency could be observed. In terms of longitudinal development of oral proficiency with respect to fluency and accuracy, learners with different proficiency levels show a wavy pat- tern. This investigation provides implication for oral English teaching and testing.
