通过对商周青铜匜与盉专名字形的排比可以揭示:字不是匜,而是盉的形象,该字与见于盉自名中的一类偏旁,都来自卜辞"注"字的简化。此类专名字形反映盉使用过程的两个突出特征:用单鋬形或"廾"旁表示液体的倾注;用声符"禾"旁或手持勺状物伸入"皿"口表示搅拌调和之意。此类字形出现远早于青铜匜,因此不宜被认作青铜匜的形象。

This kind character shape appeared before bronze Yi vessel so it is not suitable for as the image of bronze Yi vessel.
