中国海外民族志研究的学术史

The Academic History of the Research on Overseas Ethnography in China

中国大陆海外民族志研究近年取得了长足的进步,但学界对于中国海外民族志的发展历程未能仔细梳理,这制约了海外民族志的发展。本文对中国古代海外记述传统、20世纪上半期中国学者在海外的实地调查及其著作、中国人类学界海外研究的早期案例、20世纪50年代以后台湾香港学者所作的海外民族志研究、改革开放之后中国大陆人类学界的海外民族志研究作了较为系统的爬梳,以求勾勒出中国海外民族志研究史的总体轮廓,说明每一时期海外民族志发展的特点及研究重点的变化,为中国海外民族志研究的大规模开展提供一个坚实的平台。

The research on the overseas ethnography has made considerable progress in recent years in China's Mainland. However, the lack of meticulous discussion on the history of Chinese overseas ethnography restricted its development. This article conducts a systematic exposition on the traditions of ancient overseas accounts in China, the overseas research and achievements of Chinese scholars in the first part of 20th century, some early cases of Chinese anthropological overseas studies, the scholars＇ overseas ethnographic studies after 1950s in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and the study of overseas ethnography in China's Mainland since the Reform and Opening after 1978. This article aims to outline the history of overseas ethnography in China, illustrate the characteristics and changes in each period of overseas ethnographic research, and tries to provide a solid platform for the large-scale develop- ment of Chinese overseas ethnographic research.
