Verification and Narration of Zhang Guogan's Learning

张国淦是我国近代著名的政治家和文史学者。他早年涉足政坛为政颇有佳誉,然其一生博学多才,精通经史,于学术研究孜孜以求,毫不懈怠,取得了显著佳绩。这主要表现为:经学研究与金石文献整理、方志学研究以及史学著述诸方面。在学术研究上,张氏广搜博采、严谨考辨,对中国现代学术发展及文史研究做出了卓越的贡献。

Zhang Guogan was one of famous politicians and cultural ＆ historical scholars in modern China. He obtained a gnnd repu tation for his excellent work in politics during his early career; moreover, as a learned scholar, he achieved remarkable achievements in aca demic research, because of his unremitting efforts in it. The achievements as follows： Chinese classic studies and epigraphy literature arrange- ment, ethnography research as well as writing of history. In his academic research, Zhang Guogan had collected considerable materials. On this basis, he carried out his critical discrimination which contributed to the academic prngress in modern China.
