A facile method for the determination of nimesulide in human plasma by RP HPLC was described using Hypersil BDS C 18 column. The mobile phase consisted of CH 3OH 1 g/L Na 2HPO 4(pH 7.6) (56∶44) and detection wavelength was 302 nm. The calibration curve was linear within the concentration range of 0.2~25 mg/L( r =0.9999). The average recovery was over 92.3%, and the detective limit was 60 μg/L. The plasma drug concentration time curve of ten volunteers conforms to one compartment model.
