The elderly policy of Hong Kong is based on ＂home care＂. However, the quality of housing arrangement is prone to being influenced by rapid inflation of economy and shortage of land, which are especially true in Hong Kong where resources are scarce and expensive. Senior Citizens＇ Residence （REN） project plans to apply the ＂comprehensive care＂ concept, when the hardware and software provided to the client in the unit are customized. Through ＂free choice＂, the users can enjoy a cared and healthy life style with ＂the sense of safety＂. Care plans are made for each individual, focusing on their mental, physical and social wellbeing, increasing their productivity and thus making contributions to life and society.
