Iodine nutrition status of school age children in Zhongshan County in 2011

目的及时掌握贺州市钟山县学龄儿童碘营养状况,正确评价碘缺乏病防治效果,并为今后碘缺乏病防治提供科学依据。方法根据《广西碘缺乏病防治与监测方案》进行。结果钟山县碘盐合格率为96.0%,学龄儿童尿碘中位数为240.4μg/L,尿碘水平≥300μg/L的占32.0%,水碘中位数为5μg/L。结论钟山县属环境碘缺乏地区,学龄儿童碘营养状况良好,但碘营养水平有高于适宜量的趋势。提示应加强监测,对不同碘营养状况的儿童补碘实施分类指导。

[ Objective] To investigate the iodine nutrition status of school age children in Zhongshan County, to evaluate the control effects of iodine deficiency disorders, and provide scientific evidence for its control in future. [ Methods ] The investigation was based on the ＂Guangxi Iodine Deficiency Disorders Prevention and Monitoring Scheme. ＂ [ Results ] The qualified rate of iodised salt wa 96.0% in Zhongshan County. The median of urinary iodine among the school age children was 240. 4 μg/L, 32.0% chil- dren＇ s urinary iodine level≥300 μg/L. The median of water iodine was 5 μg/L. [ Conclusion] In Zhongshan County with environ- mental iodine deficiency, the iodine nutrition of the school age children is adequate ; however, there is a trend the iodine nutrition is a little surplus. Therefore, the monitoring of iodine deficiency disorders should be monitored and the different guidance for chil- dren in different iodine nutrition states should be implemented.
